Horizontally placed door handles and built-in headlights don't match with the Fiat. This must be a Moskvitch or a rare pre-war Opel Olympia 4-door sedan... |

I noticed the door handles, and thought they might have been altered, but I didn't see the built-in headlamps. Having that said I agree this is not a Fiat 1100E, but neither is it an Opel Kadett or the similar looking Moskvitch 400 (only four door versions available) or Renault Juvaquatre. I believe you're on to something when you mentioned Opel Olympia, and when browsing around I found the 1940 update http://www.classiccarcatalogue.com/OPEL%201940.html . I'd be very surprized if this is anything other than a 1940 Opel Olympia [OL 38], especially as Opel has always sold well in Sweden. |
