Killing Dr. Reeves (Livesey) than urging Sq. Leader Carter (David Niven) to the hospital and carrying in the process WAC June (Kim Hunter), it deserved its three stars.

Unclear for me whether a 1941 Dodge WC 27 or a 1942 Dodge WC 54.

You don't say? Thanks for this invaluable piece of advice, mike962.

But let's wait for a certain and complete identification.

actually I say it's WC 54 for a simple reason

the 54 has a thick bumper

WC 27 had a thin bumper

also notice the horizonatal grill bar, 54 had just one in the middle , 27 had 2 in main pic also looks like one in the middle

I'd say WC 54 also for the not-so-plunging hood. (The first thing I spotted, since I coudn't distinguish the vents.)

Agree WC-54 is correct. The 3/4 ton series had the thicker bumper, straight front grille w/ one horizontal bar, exposed radiator cap, less sloped hood and horizontal vents in the engine side cowling (I do not see the vents in these pics). The panel below the cab door is also not as high as the 1/2 ton series which had the thin bumper, curved 2 bar grille (non winch) that concealed the radiator cap, and a more sloped hood with vertical vents in the side cowling. All these features except the engine side cover vents are visible. The drivers side headlight guard is also the later style extended type that covers the blackout drive light.
