Probably, whilst Renaults of this period have a very poor reputation for serious problems (particularly the electrics and engine) it was probably too new to be seen off by that kind of thing. These Meganes and the contemporary Laguna are probably one of the most notorious clunkers (to use one of ingo's phrases) of recent times and are a big reason for how Renault's market share in the UK collapsed a few years ago. |
