1929 Daimler. Model is difficult, choice is probably 16, 20/70 or 25/85. |

By coincidence I researched a similar Daimler here - Link to "transpressnz.blogspot.co.nz" - scroll down to the post dated June 25 2015. I think this car is a 25/85 because it just looks bigger. I found a couple of pics of 16 and a 20/70 that were sold by Bonhams in 2011 - https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/18219/lot/753/ - https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/19279/lot/234/ - and neither look to have front brakes where as the car on transpress does. The car on this page also has quite big tyres suggesting a bigger model. Of course it is 25 years old so may have had some modification. Like the two cars at the auction it may have had its sleeve valve engine replaced with something more conventional. The 16 in the auction looks to have a Bedford engine. |

According to my source, A to Z of Cars of the 1920s, these were in production from 1926 to 1930, and all appeared to have four wheel brakes. A 16 and a 20 were produced from 1921 onwards, and appeared to have only rear brakes. |
