Seems Dynaflow is written on the rear wing, indeed , so how do we name it?

Dynaflow is a specification of the car, and does not take part of the name. It's a 1950 Buick Super 50 Convertible Coupe.

Dynaflow was the name of the automatic transmission in 50's buicks. It is not a model name. The models of that time period were: Roadmaster, Super, Century, and Special.

I agree with wrenchhead. Just one thing: in 1950, no Century line. This name appeared only in 1954.

As we had put "Automatic" for some Mercerdes-Benz, I guess we can include the Dynaflow name for this one, as extra info ?

All automatic buick's of the early 50's had dynaflow transmissions. I don't know if all were marked as such. I had a 1954 Century with that transmission and I don't believe it had dynaflow written anywhere on it. FYI the dynaflow was a terrible transmission - two speed and reverse. It was OK with the older straight 8 engines but when they used it with the new high power V8's it just wouldn't last. Mine burned up 3 times within 40,000 miles. I seem to recall that they discontinued the dynaflow but don't recall when.

Chevrolet had a very similar 2 speed transmission called Power Glide and some cars may have had that script on them.

They put the words on the cars because at that time an automatic transmission was a high cost luxury option. Standard equipment was a three speed manual with the shifter on the steering column. - how times have changed. Now a manual is the special order option if it is even available.

The Century was introduced in 1936 and produced until 1942 and it was reintroduced in 1954.

The Dynaflow transmission was still used in Buicks in 1963 but Buick later called it Turbine Drive. The last ones were supposed to be much better but still far from the durability of the more simple Super Turbine 400 transmission that replaced it.

In 1954 The Buick Century was re-introduced! The last Century before that was in 1942. The Century consisted of a Buick Special body, with the Buick Roadmaster engine/transmission. In 1953 the Buick Skylark sat on a Roadmaster chassis. In 1954 the Buick Skylark model was really a Buick Special chassis.
