Ce tricycle a l'air d'une authentique antiquité. |

1897+ Leon-Bollee Tricar, I think. (There should be some accents over the first and second "e" but I can't drive this I-pad well enough. Link to "www.ebay.com" |

Fine! Maybe 1896, no? I wonder why the two others Léon Bollée of the db are written with a hyphen. |

Try holding your finger on the letter in question, then choose from the pop-up |

Thank you, tore-40. Even at my advanced age I like to learn a new thing every day, and you have sorted today for me. I shall probably have forgotten it by tomorrow, however! Didier, I have just re-checked the reference book I used for the Léon Bollée, which was published in 1955, no hyphen. Therefore my error. |

(The hyphens were there for the two other pages. But I slaughtered them!) |

Up to some sources , this tricyle was named Voiturette, not Tricar. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l681_yu7Yvs http://www.secretlocation.ca/leon-bollee-voiturette/ Voiturette was the name invented by Leon Bollee for this car which was the first really small petrol driven vehicle. British sources tend to say tricar, but maybe Voiturette is more authentic. As you wish. |

Fine. Merci sixcyl, and let's give back this petulant little thing its birth name. |
