The front fascia is clearly taken from an Autobianchi Bianchina |

I second Lateef's point by noting that the Trabant P50 doesn't have this stripe on the site (see Link to "de.wikipedia.org" ), whereas the Autobianchi has it (see Link to "en.wikipedia.org" ). Another indicator is the missing B pillar which is typical for the Bianchina Trasformabile, but not for the Trabant P50. Also the backlights don't look like those from the P50 (see https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trabant_P50#/media/File:Trabant_P50_heck.jpg ), but rather from the Trabant 601 (see Link to "commons.wikimedia.org" ) or a stylized Bianchina. So, Autobianchi Bianchina Cabriolet makes more sense here, although this model had a rear-engine layout (whereas I can see on one of the pictures posted by Opal that the rear compartment is used for luggage rather than for the engine). Note: Since this car doesn't have a so-called suicide door (i.e. rear-hinged door), it can't be a Bianchina Trasformabile (which looks similar). -- Last edit: 2016-12-20 15:02:48 |

Model origin: DDR, not Germany. |

Indeed, it's much much similar to Bianchina than P50. |
