Not only would it not pass any state’s inspection & safety regulations, but would also provide law enforcement a valid reason for pulling over the vehicle. I wonder if the inclusion of the crack was done on purpose or simply just overlooked by the movie makers. The crack seems totally out of character with the fastidious nature of perfection shown in all other aspects of his life.
