So, I'm gonna try to find it all by myself. Alors… The general shape is of a BMW, yes, and I learn somewhere that the basis was the 326. Is it a 326, a 327, a 335, a 321 or a 320? After all, they have all been made as two-door cabriolets, like ours. Let's rule out the 335 for the moment: only 410 built, it's unlikely (but not impossible) to see one in a movie production of 1966. Production figures: 326: 16.000. 320: ? but short-lived. 321: 3.800 (plus about 9.000 after the war, but it seems they all were used East of Eden). 327: 1.400 plus 'significant' post-war production (but how 'significant'?) The 326 is ahead, by large. Let's return to the pic. One of my favourite discriminating tip is the door hinging (if I may say so). Here we have a rear-hinged door for our cabriolet. With what I have under my nose to compare, it appears that it eliminates the front-hinged-doored (if so I can speak) 327. So return to the figures. For instance, those of the pics up-loaded here. One 320, half a dozen 321… And 14 326, yes, but… Oh, among those, this one /vehicle_715784-BMW-326-Cabriolet-1936.html —another used in a French production of an international movie released… in 1966. All right: 1936 BMW 326 Cabriolet et cochon qui s'en dédit. (This was a live sample of La méthode à Didi.) -- Last edit: 2015-04-26 14:34:18 |
