BTW: what is the meaning of the radiator badge on this car?
also the circular red on white emblem seen on many windshields, lower corner passenger side?

The badge is that of the Automobile Association, known as the AA, formed in the 1900s as a campaigning organisation for the then very few motorists. Over the last 110 or thereabouts years it has turned from campaigning, via warning motorists of speed traps and offering roadside assistance, into a sort of insurance provider.

The windscreen disc has now been abandoned, but it indicated that the owner of the the car had paid its annual road tax. The colours used to change from year to year. It's now all on computers linked to the number plates which are, in UK, unique to the car.

I think that the car is a 20/25, it's certainly too small to be a Phantom, but not certain because it might be a 25/30 as the two models overlapped in 1936, which is when the registration dates the car as being built. There's not enough coachwork on view to do more than guess at the builder, maybe Hooper.

DKE823 = BLACK AND MAROO, 1936 MORRIS 10/4 SERIES 2 UNKNOWN SALOON, nothing on DVLA. We've had a few cars where they've put a RR grille on the front of something ordinary .......

Looks kosher to me.

If it is not, the car certainly isn't a 1936 Morris Ten. The problem is that as Royces only made chassis up to 1939, and the customer chose his coachbuilder and style, the cars did not always reflect their year of manufacture. Without number plate evidence, I think that the car could be several years older than 1936, and therefore a Twenty, or a 20/25.
