 The letter I was not used, LIE would have only been possible as personalized plate. Wrong font.

They used it about 10-15 years ago when they issued plates with previously forbidden letters.
My 106 in 2001 had a place with DQV, my 206 in 2003 had LUM, previously both Q & M weren't used.
Skipped combinations with I were also used at that time.
On the DIV website, the plate LIE305 is marked as active and last registered in 2007, but no idea if it is linked to this car.

 That's true, when they were running out of combinations they started using Q. I didn't think the I as well.
It didn't make much sense before as the O was also forbidden, so couldn't be confused with anything.

...but this plate is certainly fake as you can see from the shape of the 3.
