50sParis ◊ 2016-10-05 02:29	Driven by Ursula Andress, who was given a 507 by Elvis Presley in 1963 (70192). That 507 was long thought to be Elvis his personal car, but it was found that his car was actually 70079. I do wonder whether the 507 here could be 70192 given the Andress connection. Today the car is white.

Gallivant ◊ 2022-02-12 02:47	The car Elvis gave her was a 1958 model, white, and this one seems to be from 1957. She of course had her own brand new BMW 507 from 1957 until her husband John Derek sold it while she was shooting the locale for Fun in Acapulco in early 1963.Fred Astaire was the buyer and since they were friends,it bothered her to having to see the car often, but not able to drive it. That is why Elvis bought one and without having even seen it, gifted it to her. Here is John Derek and Ursula Andress with their own BMW 507 when she was relatively unknown, in a photo taken at Munich Airport in late 1957.
