The Pirana was commissioned by the Daily Telegraph newspaper with support from Jaguar to be the star of the 1967 Earls Court Motor Show, showcasing all the latest British technology - Smiths air con and AM/FM radio with cassette player, Lucas QI headlights, Triplex Sundym glass with heated screens, Connolly leather interior, Dunlop competition wheels and tyres.
