PX license is 1954, so must be one of teh very first Versailels, so even in France this still might have been a Ford. In Holland these cars were sold as Ford for sure. |

Hmmm... The 1955 model year still had an protruding gas filler on the left, and the taillights were different. These taillights and the gas filler cap hidden behind the license plate make it a 1957 Vedette Versailles, so the license plate is a fake (or it is one of those rare re-issued plates). We'll maybe have to clean/rename the others of the kind sold in Germany (they are here as 'Versailles', not 'Vedette Versailles'). |

Let's change this one to Ford Versailles, for the time being. I'll try to find some evidence whether they were called Versailles or Vedette Versailles in Holland. |
