Since it has the "butter knife" trim on the sides I'd say 1955 Commander Regal coupe |

Regal trim indeed. Right you are, Michael! (Another one I commented on before I conducted my research!) In fact, this one might even be a President model. (The nameplate looks a bit more like "President" doesn' it?) |

Reviewed some of my notes this morning. The only exterior difference between Commander Regal coupes/hardtops and President State coupes/hardtops is the hood ornament, rear fender nameplates and trunklid nameplates. The President has gold-toned fender nameplates and the front portion of the hood ornament is also gold colored. I think you can just make out the gold tone in the photo'ed car, increasing my confidence this is a President State.
