I've never seen it either - it's highly unusual even here in Australia. Looks like it's been specially modified for car-carrying purposes. |

Not seen this style on a car transporter but here in NZ there are five-axle concrete trucks with the front two axles nearly two metres apart and I have seen fuel tankers with a similar set up. |

Probably a PayStar 5000, that's the only dual steer 4-axle International I can find, and it matches well. |

That's makes sense. Perhaps that the same chassis share different type of truck configuration. Could this be made in New Zealand only?  |

Interesting to see the comment by Exiv96 re the TOLL takeover. I saw a TOLL car transporter trailer on the road this morning, the first one I have seen. Quite a different configuration from the one in this pic though. |
