Wrong. It is a 1975 Dodge Monaco and please change it to 1975. |

The base Monaco had an eggcrate grill in 1975. This is a 1975 model There were other trim levels (Royal Monaco) that had hidden headlights. -- Last edit: 2007-02-11 21:57:40 |

This is a 1975 Dodge Monaco, this is a mistake made by most people that don't know the complete Dodge Monaco history, they think anything after 74 has the hidden headlamps. This is not true of 75 Monaco's, the Monaco, and Monaco custom, also sported the exposed headlamps, as on the entire 74 line, however the 75 had a different grill "eggcrate" and the front bumper was also larger in size. Of course the Royal Moanco's had the hidden headlamps in 75-77. And all Monaco's after 75 were Royal's I.E. 76-77 |

Je ne savais même pas que la Monaco des années '74 à '76 existait également en break! |

I seem to recall they literally wrapped this one around a tree, in order to make the stunt look more severe the front and rear bumpers of the car were attached to towtrucks and it was bent in half almost into a C shape... |

It is absolutely a '75 as denoted previously by the eggcrate style grille Note my '74s grille for the difference http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/4534/blues1s.jpg |

Presumably this is the same one, seen parked on the far left at the James Dean event (after the above scene takes place): Although it is hard to tell as you don't see the front end in the film, but this promotional photo does exist showing it: |
