Twin headlamps tell us this is a Bristol Beaufighter - an evolution of the 412 with Turbo and other mods. |

CFB 848V = GREEN 1979 BRISTOL 412 CONVERTIBLE ✔ Taxed Tax due: 01 May 2016 ✗ No MOT Expired: 27 May 2015 Date of first registration :01 December 1979 Year of manufacture :1979 Cylinder capacity (cc) :5900cc Vehicle status : Tax not due Vehicle colour :GREEN Confusing car and info sources. Agree 4 lights should be Beaufighter - if bonnet bulge were visible it would confirm it. But has 412 S2 wheels (I think they were Avon run-flats or similar, not sure if standard or option) and there is confusion when Beaufighter (which was pretty much just a 412 S3) actually appeared - both 1980 (a couple of books , https://boc.net/page.php?currPage=cars&sc=21 ) and 1982 (wiki, a big Bristol book) quoted in various sources - Glass's says Jan 80. Plus CFB xxxV apparently a June-July 80 series Bristol issue. So dates suggest 412 S2, but maybe a factory cross-over car or pre-production Beaufighter. As it's still around, someone out there should know this car, or maybe a photo can be found to clarify if has bonnet bulge. Meantime 79 412 S2 seems correct. |

The Bristol Owners Club has this listed as a Beaufighter with a Zagato body. |
