I daresay it is an Italian conversion, maybe Dario Casdale or Pilato, carried out on a Mercedes W110 or W111 fintail. The sectioned quarter panels are a trademark of Italian coachbuilders. It enables them to retain a relatively low profile despite fitting huge glass areas. That way they built some of the world's most stunningly beautyful hearses. |

^ Yeah, I agree with Animatronixx: It's an Austrian body, made by Hinteregger Karosseriebau of Wien, Austria. Hinteregger also imported US Ford for the Austrian market and I strongly believe the car above is no Mercedes-Benz, but a Ford as well. My suggestion is this: Hey people who know them better: Please check the bumper and the lights - could this be a 1966 Ford Galaxie or something close to it? |
