Something long and low just left of the centre which I can't recognise, just to the left of the person (or two?) standing in dark clothing. |

Only 369 WAs made, so that's a result. I was also intrigued by Woody (Ford V8??) in left edge with shiny spare wheel but difficult to capture properly Also a general comment that this film emphasises how harsh life was in the Fens - lots of labourers, field workers etc struggling to maintain livelihoods during difficult wartime circumstances. But this square has thrown up a posh MG, 2 SS Jags, a Daimler DB17, the black convertivble with pale hood and minute back window in centre left. Seems there was a lot of prosperity alongside the poverty. |

Market day. If you were a farmer you were at the livestock market, or seeing your bank manager in the pub, if you were a labourer, you were in your boots and overalls driving a shovel. Plus of course the black marketeers, petrol coupon forgers, estate agents and similar crooks who would frequent a prosperous country town on market day. -- Last edit: 2014-09-01 17:04:20 |

Austin 14/6 Goodwood in the square. The MG is nearer the bus. |
