Discovery Series II was almost entirely new and more mainstream SUV-commercialized than the original Discovery. It had more luxurious interior features and some models had two sunroofs and could seat up to 7 passengers. They were not particularly fuel-efficient when gasoline-powered, weighing in at 5000 lb. empty. The full-time AWD system attempted to use only an electronic traction control system that actuated the brakes individually instead of traditional locking differentials to manage traction. |
