As the side markers were mandatory from 1968 onwards, the closed cab 1968-70 Jeep DJ-5A had them from the beginning. But this DJ-5 could indeed also be a 1971-84 AM General model, as noted by CougarTim. Only a view of the grille could help to tell one model over the other: 7-hole grille for a Jeep, 5-hole one for an AM General model. ⇒ Jeep model used as default identification. |
