Plate RGP127 returns: 2001 VIN returns: built: June 26, 2001, "XLT" trim, 3.0L DOHC EFI V6, 4 Speed Auto - Column. The [BA] chassis code isn't a mistake here. Initially, Escapes sold in Australia had this code, but in late 2002, Ford introduced a new Falcon which also had the [BA] code. Obviously Ford couldn't have two vehicles with the same code, so the Escape changed to [ZA] that year (but was otherwise identical).
