J5 or heavier definitely - horzontal grill bars. (It also looks like the front of the grill with the two vertical bars is missing.) Its unusual that it looks like it has a divided windscreen but still a J5. |

I believe now possibly an Austin 3-Ton WE truck rather than the Bedford. With the missing thumbnails I am not sure than the front wing line and door were not seen in making the original identification but the front grille and windscreen matches the Austin WE better. |

As I'm not certain I will revert it back but with shadowing, and the Austin having black wing extenders I am still 50:50 with it being an Austin. As I said pity the extra thumbnails have gone. |

Money! Thants a good incentive to prove otherwise regarding the grille, split windscreen, no sidelight visible over the bumper, recessed headlanps... ... but I do agree about the apparent J5 wing profile. |

I think its just the shadows on it Sunbar , the windcreen isn't split its the other A pillar. |

I can buy the shadow on the windscreen (I originally thought that) as I said its 50:50 for me. Seeing more of the front wing would clinch it being the Bedford and probably did before the thumbnails disappeared. edit - thumbnails restored above. -- Last edit: 2015-04-06 12:57:14 |

Bedford J type confirmed, grille looks odd because the grille surround, with the two vertical sections and the leading edge adjacent to bonnet, has been removed from this truck. J7 ST long wheelbase 167" tipper as the J5 was not produced as a short wheelbase tipper. Wheelbase is too long for a Bedford J6 ST (155" wheelbase). -- Last edit: 2015-09-23 11:25:10 |
