Route 60 was converted from AEC RT to Leyland RTL in May 1963. If there's a frame with a registration plate we can pin it down. |

All I can see of number plate is starts with a K . Film release date is usually quite some time after its filmed , its obviously winter as snow about so I imagine this is winter 62/63 or earlier so an AEC ? -- Last edit: 2014-04-24 16:20:38 |

However the bus approaching from the other direction is almost certainly a Leyland so probably an RTL. |

There's a better shot of the truck in this picture, still looks like a Thornycroft Swiftsure to me. |

Hadn't noticed the snow! Remembering what that winter was like, and seeing the Leyland RTL in the second shot and the colour of the snow(!) I'd suggest circa February 1963.....I'd happily accept that the main shot is also of an RTL. |
