S3 had lower plate below tailgate and I think S4 was 1st version with plate on tailgate - S5 definitely had it but was Oct 64 launch - almost certainly too late for film date and after a foreign holiday for GB plate.
Gazelle ◊ 2015-09-09 23:13	Series III (1960-62) and IV (1962-64) are indistinguishable from this photo. As for position of plate, it is not correct to say that SIV was first with it on tailgate; my father had a 1960 Series II estate with a (virtually) square plate on the tailgate, but I know of an identical car with a rectangular plate in the same position. It may have depended on the dealer/distributor.

Maybe in terms of confirmable evidence, but I think S3 was two-tone with colour split along body sides, and S4 (plus S5) single colour - if S4 was two-tone, it seems to be the roof only, not a colour split on body sides.
