Definitely AC, not Shelby. Plate info and https://www.flickr.com/photos/45676495@N05/8272995032/ give YP 8328 as AC Royal, 1485cc . DVLA details (as make AC Royal) are: Date of Liability 01 09 2013 Date of First Registration 13 08 1926 Year of Manufacture 1926 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1485cc CO₂ Emissions Not Available Fuel Type PETROL Export Marker Y Vehicle Status Unlicensed Vehicle Colour RED (see photo link ^ - seems repainted recently) Vehicle Type Approval Not Available ... so recently exported. |

One of the relatively few four cylinder AC models. I have checked three sources and it may be that AC is the make, and Royal the model name of the tourer. The cubic capacity of the engine is more likely 1496cc, the engines being built by British Anzani and later Cubitt. AC 12hp Royal is suggested as a suitable name, unless anyone can come up with a better idea. |
