A2 with what appears to be a Hawson 25/35cwt van body with bus conversion.

Agree or may be the similar Spurling bodywork.

Yes the Royal Navy crew bus is converted from the Hawson 25cwt van body with the divided windscreen.

The van in JCB's link is the high roof 35cwt Hawson van with one-piece windscreen with additional side glasses for the slightly wider body.

Correction: have now found the two-piece curved windscreen was the Spurling van. By the time of the J type van it was also supplied alongside the Hawson van with the one-piece curved windscreen and side glasses.

A Type (A2) introduced with Spurling body May 1955.
J Type (J2) introduced with Spurling and Hawson bodies September 1958.
