When I go I'm going in style - a black Royce, none of this washing machine white stuff!

But black's just so ... common - be different. And in white you could leap out of snowdrifts to surprise people. Looks like Vauxhall Insignia ingredients so something Holden?? Is it the thing in Aus to combine the hearse with a mourners vehicle to create a funerary crossover?? If it wasn't so ugly, I caould see the advantages.

No, no. One of the local undertakers has a black Silver Cloud I hearse, and if I can't find anything older that'll do for me.

I thought that thing above was based on a F-type Jag, I certainly wouldn't want to be despatched from anything as ordinary as a Vauxhall.

The nearby funeral service has (had?) black Volvo 240 with Jesus air-brushed on engine cover. Also nice thing. :sun:

Queensland plate WLF08 returns: 2011 HOLDEN CAPRICE HEARSE. VIN: 6G1EK5E52BL582746

EDIT: just checked this vehicle on youi.com.au (insurance company), and it comes back as a 2011 Commodore "Omega" (sedan). So now I'm confused as to what this vehicle is based on!

However, we have the VIN, which is very helpful. I checked a few other vehicles, and it seems the VIN would indicate that this is in fact a Commodore, not a Caprice. From what I found, Holden VEs have these codes for the 4th/5th (the first 3 digits are 6G1 for all variants):

Commodore: EK
Berlina: EL
Calais: EX
Statesman/Caprice: MY
Ute: EP

It's also obvious to me now just by looking at it, that it's a Commodore, based on the shape of the rear door and C pillar, which is clearly that of a Commodore not Caprice.

Jesus. Why are hearses designed to look like this now?
