Not sure what to make of this. Chauffeur driven long wheelbase something, with what looks like Ford logo on steering wheel. No other view in ep (or anywhere else in S1), and I assume the main is same car as thumbs. Rear side window as shown is not part of door and has its own opening vent; also no heated rear window or tints. And it has a carphone which if genuine suggests a console in rear. Stretched Granada Mk2? Or something stretched from Aus?? Or?? |

PS - the other odd thing which has no plot significance - they are not driving on public road, but through some sort of park - maybe not a road legal car for some reason. |

Coleman Milne Dorchester, I think. |

I'd agree with Coleman Milne Dorchester. If pushed for a date I'd say 1982 because the only example I found in Google Images with an opening vent was a 1982Y. |

.... in which case I'll take a punt that it's this car /vehicle.php?id=604341 (1984 Series VI) used in another Granada TV series from the same mid-80s period. See also comments here for a hearse in Bulman S2 - /vehicle.php?id=684356 -- Last edit: 2014-03-11 20:55:59 |
