In USA,marketed as Buick-Opel GT('cause was marketed thru Buick Dealers network,like other US-spec Opels,but if bears Opel logo on body),1970-1972 imported circa(but full production was 1968-1973;the car derives by a 1965 GM prototype) PS Rather than could be guessed,the body of that car,but if developed by GM stylists staff,was,meanwhile,produced in France near Brissonneau & Lotz coachbuilders |

Antp is correct. Toyota did the same in US when they began selling the 1st generation Tercel as the "Corolla-Tercel" for same reason, to instill buyer confidence in a car with "new techonolgy" (FWD) or an unknown model never sold before. Opl GT sold from 1968-73. None of the German built Opel models sold in the USA up through 1975 ever had any Buick emblems on them though in advertising they were commonly refered to as "Buick's Opel" since they were sold through Buick dealers in the US market.
