The short wheelbase sedan was just "Imperial" while the hardtop (2-door only) was the "Newport" in '55 and "Southhampton" in '56 (both 2-door and 4-door hardtops). For '55 (and '56) the "Crown" name was reserved for the extended wheelbase 8 passenger sedans and limos and were called "Crown Imperials".

This is a "regular" one.
The short wheelbase sedan was just "Imperial" while the hardtop (2-door only) was the "Newport" in '55 and "Southhampton" in '56 (both 2-door and 4-door hardtops).

For '55 (and '56) the "Crown" name was reserved for the extended wheelbase 8 passenger sedans and limos and were called "Crown Imperials".
