As far as I can make it out, it's either based on a Fiat 1400 or a 1900. The bigger rear lights makes it at least a 1954-56 1400 A or 1900 A, but here comes the tricky bit. It has the chrome strip (slightly wider at front) as of the earlier 1900 http://www.zuckerfabrik24.de/fiat/pics2/1900_tf1.jpg , but that version had different rear lights whithout a chrome strip in the middle. And the 1900 A had the chrome strip starting above the front wheel arch where an indicator lamp (?) was placed http://www.zuckerfabrik24.de/fiat/pics2/1900A_p1cA.jpg . As it doesn't have the chrome strip along the door handles as of the 1400 A http://www.zuckerfabrik24.de/fiat/pics3/1400a_pw2.jpg , I don't think it's one of those, and neither do I believe it's a 1400 B as that one had an arched chrome strip. I think I believe it's a 1954-56 Fiat 1900 A, possible with emphasize on the 1954, with a conversion made by a body builder that retained some of the older bits. My knowledge is based on the fact I own one 1954 Fiat 1400 A, only needing some heavy TLC. |

Why 1400 A? Edit: Here's a picture of the rear end of a 1954-56 Fiat 1900 A http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Fiat_1900.jpg . -- Last edit: 2014-01-28 22:11:19 |
