No vents for the 1938 GMC T-Series, but the round corner made by the grille and the hood couldn't be a thin chrome one like in the main picture. It's more likely a 1939-40 GMC AC-Series / Chevrolet Heavy-Duty (a.k.a V/W-Series): The black line on the hood side looks more like the GMC hood side emblem than the chrome bezel of the Chevrolet hood side louver.
