@dsl:
Would it be possible to post a link to the youtube clip?

Meanwhile
The fifth picture shows the rear lights ending in an angle. That was a feature of the coupés and cabriolets.
My concern about the clip is that I believe I can see the older wheel embellishers surrounding the hupcap. If so, and as it doesn't have a chromed side strip (excludes the 300) it can only be one model:
- 09.61 - 10.65 Mercedes 220 SEB Cabriolet [W 111/3] http://wiki.mercedes-benz-classic.com/index.php/Kategorie:W110/W111/W112 and http://wiki.mercedes-benz-classic.com/index.php/Datei:220SEBCabrio.jpg .

Very difficult to tell as it was a very short clip showing the car. It could have been a 250 SE as well (with the newer embellishers).
Also the chromed inside rear view mirror doesn't tell anything, as, although it was black on the W108, it still was chromed a while after the changeover to the 2,5 litre engine.
Any ideas?

Edit:
It is a real cabriolet. But that is all I can tell at the moment.

After some consideration of various possibilities, the closest I believe I will come a conclusion is that this is an earlier model because of the wheel embellishers.
The 250 (on 14 inch rims) had the embellishers mounted slightly more outwards and thus more prone to damage at curbs, while the 220 (on 13 inch rims) had them slightly mounted inwards.

Of the two models that might come in question (no other possibilities)
- 09.61 - 10.65 Mercedes 220 SEB [W 111/3] (2.729 made) and
- 09.65 - 12.67 Mercedes 250 SEB [W 111/III A] (954 made)
I believe it's the 220.

All trailer pics now replaced with captures from film and more added. New main.

My previous question if this might be a chop-top 4 door saloon (which was unclear in blurry trailer pics) is now irrelevant.

Indeed a 220.
