Neptune ◊ 2006-11-14 00:38	Correct, the name of the truck is Silverado (GM adopted the name in 1999 from their trim level names of the ‘80s and ‘90s) So this would be a Chevrolet Silverado. It looks to be a 2001 or so model, but not a 2003 model as the Silverado received a face lift in 2003. Also the upper black plastic portion of the front bumper appears to be taller (to compensate for the trucks height), indicating the truck is not a 1500 but most likely a 2500 at least.

The way you tell a HD (Heavy Duty) Silverado from a standard Silverado is by the bulge in the hood. The HD hoods have a continuous bulge that drops off sharply at the front of the hood. A standard Silverado’s hood has a bulge also, but it fades into the hood longbefore the lines reach the end of the hood itself. Then there is the matter of the front bumper. This truck has a taller upper black plastic potion on the bumper (Which GM gave the HDs’ to hide the gap between the grille and bumper) This truck has both attributes of a HD Silverado… -- Last edit: 2006-11-17 05:39:54
