I believe this is a 1981-85 Nissan Sunny [B11] like here http://www.nissan-global.com/EN/HERITAGE/sunny_1500_sgl_extra.html . Perhaps even 1982 only (introduced in Oct 1981 as of 1982 MY) as 1983 MY got different side indicators http://www.flickr.com/photos/7430965@N05/8074807637/in/photostream/ . Does the rear view mirrors mounted on the front wings mean it's "Made for Japan"? -- Last edit: 2013-12-27 16:12:18 |

Yes, however for local cars in local countries the 'Made for' is not used. -- Last edit: 2013-12-27 16:42:32 |

Why not? Mirrors on the front wings is, as far as I know, only custom in Japan. In that case Japanese cars sold in any other country should be marked "Made for", which seems strange. Also it seems extra side indicators or a sticker /vehicle.php?id=658469 is enough to qualify for a "made for" while cars not made in the UK but sold there has to be heavily modified but is not marked "Made for" /vehicle_655887-Volvo-245-1978.html . Why???? -- Last edit: 2013-12-27 17:17:09 |

As minor changes only qualify for "made for" and not cars heavily modified, why not change to "Equipped for"? That in my ears would be much closer to the truth . Comments? |
