MisterZ ◊ 2013-12-25 15:07	Can't be any older than 1992 as there were no pre-1992 yellow taxis (the regulation came into effect in 1994, but taxi companies are allowed to buy vehicles up to 2 years old). In any case, there's also an age limit of 6.5 years on taxis, so in 1999, 1992 was the oldest possible normal taxi. The age limit differs for handicap taxis or taxis in rural areas, though. This same vehicle (taxi 4185) also appeared in the 1999 movie "The Wog Boy" as well as a 1997 episode of "Good Guys Bad Guys", and the TV show "Halifax f.p." Note that as of July 2016, taxi age limits no longer exist in Melbourne (or Sydney since late 2015). -- Last edit: 2017-03-27 02:22:50
