1.8i 16V (engine code F4P4774) built September 2002 in Gris Eclipse. For "extremely cold climate" so sold new in Russia. VF1BG0V0527548440 |

Could extremely cold climate also mean Sweden, Norway etc.? |

We're in St. Petersburg - good point! -- Last edit: 2024-11-29 15:20:36 |

Scandinavia might be more likely for 2002 and a Laguna - a model typically sold in Western Europe. By the later half of the 2000s more "Western European" models were being imported officially, or even made there. In the early days (first decade or so) following the fall of the SU it was mostly higher-end German cars (and of course used imports from Japan, USA, or Germany...) if not the Ladas et. al. associated with Russia. I think we can omit made for RUS as there is nothing specific that says Russia in the build sheet - again, extremely cold climate could very well be Sweden. Let me put the VIN into car.info and see if anything comes up. |

Eh, nothing on CARFAX Europe or any other Scandinavian sites - so probably sold new in Russia. I take back my earlier comment! (but of course, there's the possibility it was imported as a new car from Scandinavia too...) -- Last edit: 2024-12-02 10:32:32 |

car.info and other third party sites only goes back to 2014. If a car was deregistered (exported or junked) before that it won't show up there. |

Aha, I see. Could definitely be Scandinavian then! |
