Identified by longer wheelbase, higher ground clearance (note the gap in the front wheel arch), and slightly different headlights that protrude from the front wheel arches. Otherwise, the truck is very similar to the T-900. The C-501 was introduced in 1992, along with the T-950 and T-900 (in 1991) - part of the new generation of Australian-designed Kenworths. All 3 models replaced the previous W-900 models, which were discontinued in 1990.
