no, it's definitely a 190 [W201] with the faked SEC-bonnet (made by KAMEI??) |

It was a common modification in UK - sometimes a recognised conversion, but I suspect often an accessory shop product. |

Also seen here in Norway, occasionally. I`m amazed that it`s legal, as the grille cover parts of the headlights. -- Last edit: 2013-11-01 14:19:58 |

For 100%, IIRC this marvellous tasteful styling element was not sold by Mercedes Benz-dealerships theirselves. |

The inner headlights were only the foglights, which are -at least in Germany- not mandatory. So over here, when the foglights are out of order, they can be covered. btw.: were always, at all W201-Benzes these foglamps mounted? Or was it the same case, as at the VW Passat [32B]? There you only have foglamps, when they were ordered -for extra charge of course-, otherwise they look just like lights, but were in fact just empty plastic boxes. |

@ingo: Soweit ich weiß waren die Nebelscheinwerfer beim 201 eine aufpreispflichtige Sonderausstattung. |

I think Goeckel made this piece of body kit. Here is a better view of how much of the headlights the grille cover. -- Last edit: 2013-11-03 15:30:54 |
