"Although this vehicle carried Leyland badges it is actually a very late Bristol LH with Plaxton Supreme body."

Also, when the photo is seen in its original size, there's a badge reading "Supreme V" with two more letters that I can't read.

6,540cc is the capacity of the Leyland O.401 engine which was one of the choices for the Bristol LH chassis. The Bristol company had by 1982 been absorbed into the BL empire and its products were "Leylandised" in accordance with BL policy. The link below takes you to the chassis number and original owner of this little lightweight coach, and IMO removes any doubts about its make and origins.

Numerically the last but two built of a relatively rare type, Bristol LHS6L/Plaxton. Link to "www.buslistsontheweb.co.uk" New to Epsom Coaches and in their livery. Rob Sly's history shows it as sold by Epsom by September 1985 - http://bcv.robsly.com/ggc223x.html
