The American carmakers often refer to a vehicle by a severely advanced model year. Even the Mustang, which came out in April '64, is refered to as a '65, according to Ford. |

Early releases like this one are not very common, shown first late -05 and on sale february -06 as a 2007 Model, but they do happen once in a while. The 1951 Kaiser was as early as this one, introduced in february -50. |

I think they were definitley a little ahead on this one, my buddy works at the Belvidere plant in fact and they were making these as 2007 models and it was late spring early summer 2006 when they were making these. Sure it will not be long before we see 2008's hitting the lots... lol |
