With such a name attached to it, this car must've fetched a high price! |

Long-rumoured to have been used by President FDR after the attack on Pearl Harbour. It wasn't. It was sold in 1933 to an amusement park owner in England, and was sold again for $510 in 1958 and shipped back to North America. It also may or may not have been owned by Capone, as only a few cars have been definitively linked to him through financial records. A 1924 MacFarlan, a 1926 MacFarlan, a 1928 Lincoln seven passenger sedan, a 1929 Lincoln, a 1930 Lincoln, and several Packards. Most were registered to his wife Mae Capone. There were also two 1931 Cadillac V16s repossessed by Cadillac dealer Emil Denemark for nonpayment. He is known to have attended the funeral of his consigliere, Antonio "Tony the Scourge" Lombardo, in an armoured car, but the car in the photos appears to be a Packard, which would match up with the "specially built Packard" mentioned at his trial. |
