Brazilian origin, or?
 But odd, that it has an Opel-badge. In South America Opel-origin and Opel-based cars are all named Chevrolet.

Yes, that's really odd... where does this movie happen? Because maybe there it was sold as an Opel. It reminds me of the left hand drive Vauxhall I saw a moth ago. I didn't know it existed.

Mmmhhh, this was no original LHD Vauxhall, if not a classic car from pre-Opel-times (Chevette and Cavalier were the last Vauxhalls with unique body-elements). At newer cars always the owner has replaced the badges, because many -mainly youngsters with Corsa B's- think, that the Vauxhall-badge looks stylisher than the Opel-logo.

Yes, it was a Corsa B. It had the Vauxhall badge only in the exterior because, if I remember well, it had the Opel logo in the steering wheel. It had a German number plate. I didn't know if it was an Opel with the Vauxhall badge or a Vauxhall with an Opel's steering wheel. Thank you for the information!

So it's just a crummy Opel, pimped by the owner with an Vauxhall-badge.

Yes. But when I saw it I had my doubts. I obviously knew that it was impossible that Opels were sold in Germany as Vauxhalls. I also thought that some Vauxhalls could be sold in other countries with LHD and be imported, but I found strange to see that German plate. It's a curious thing that Opel sells its models with lots of different names (Saturn or Chevrolet in America)... This is normal because in America Opel is a complete unknown maker, and Saturn or Chevrolet aren't, but I still think that the Vauxhall case is strange.

Well, there were Opels sold in the USA - but not any more since 1975. The last model there was Manta A/Ascona A. And Vauxhall is much more unknown in the world, except in the UK and some Commonwealth-countries. Even in the European countries, where there was (up to the 70ies) a more or less remarkable export (Austria, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland for example) they are disappeared.

But the Opel with the Vauxhall-grille is nothing stange at all. It's only a few screws (six, IIRC correctly. When my wife had an Astra G, I've mounted an aftersales market grille) and maybe 5 to 8 minutes work to replace it ;)

Well, there were also some RHD Opels in the UK before being renamed Vauxhall. I suppose that they renamed them because Vauxhall was an historical British maker, and more famous than Opel there.

GM dropped Opel in the UK when the cars became identical.

The last Opel, sold officially in the UK as Opel, was the Manta B.
