Giggling over the licence number?? ('BDU'...'Battle Dress Uniform'. Official name for what the Army refers to as 'Fatigues'?) |

But this means nothing. It's just a short combination, as often used for US cars-over here. Not everywhere it's possible to get a plate in the size for small motorbikes/tractors for US-cars. German plates in the real US-size are very rarely available and accepted by the authority. The plate seems authentic by the stickers (next TÜV inspection in 1976) and it's obviously made from thick PVC. Very rare (usually West German plates are from embossed aluminium, decades ago sometimes from iron), but in West-Berlin they had a plenty of different versions. -- Last edit: 2019-03-31 23:03:51 |
