Looks to be Austin Westminster 'Farina' style to me |

My first thought was the Austin A99 Westminster (1959 to 1961) or A110 Westminster (MkI 1961 to 1964 - MkII 1964 to 1968). Although as this is a funeral car its probably the Vanden Plas Princess 3 Litre (1960 - 1961). Originally called Princess, but became a Vanden Plas Princess from May 1960, the Mk II model followed in late 1961, and Princess R derived from this in 1964. So Vanden Plas Princess 3 Litre unless anyone can see a detail that determines the model more closely? |

I don't think it is a 'Big Farina', but rather the Austin A55 Cambridge Mk.2 [ADO9A] (1959-61). My reasons for this assumption are the following: The shape of the chrome surroundings of the rear light and the shape of the top end of the rear window. http://www.co-oc.org/A55mk2.gif It is a pity that in the first small picture the top edge of the rear window is covered by the actress. Could you capture another picture, please? This would disperse all doubts. |

Hope this helps Alexander. -- Last edit: 2006-10-23 23:58:46 |

Thanks, but it is rather the rear screen edge corner I am interested in. It is sharp on the small Farinas: http://www.co-oc.org/Series%20V%20Oxford%20Rear.gif and round on the big ones: http://www.co-oc.org/6110%20Mk2%20Rear.gif I hope you know what I mean. If the actress in the first small picture just moves a little to the left it should be visible. |

The best I can get for the top corner of the C pillar. -- Last edit: 2006-10-24 00:01:58 |

Sorry, you got the wrong corner. Not rear door, but the rear window. Sorry to keep you busy! |

Sharp and not rounded - will post it later but must go now. |
