Most definitely a retired California Highway Patrol SSP. They were replaced by the newer Mustangs of the time period and the rear deck lights and presence of a white and red pair of spotlights is a dead giveaway. 1979-82 MY |

This is specifically a 1982 model, one of the 400 ordered by the CHP that year. And this car most likely would have been retired long before this movie was made. |
