Not the CF2 but 2279cc slant four petrol engine makes this a CF facelift.

The 2279cc engine was on GVW/models CF250, CF280 & CF350. By November 1984 the CF2 was introduced by Bedford. Ambulance build would mean stocks of previous CF models would still being registered probably into 1985.

From memory '97760' is GM Model Code for 9= Vauxhall/Bedford UK build, 7= CF, 760='350P'(Petrol).
These codes imposed by GM USA by the early 1970 throughout the various model ranges but not universally adopted by overseas divisions in practice.
