Yes, a number of these vans toured the UK during the fifties providing chest X-rays at factories and in town centres to see if people had tuberculosis. It went away so the service was stopped, but is now re-appearing as a problem, both due to immigration, and the lowered effectiveness of anti-biotics. IIRC the vans all had the late forties style of cab with a vertical inset grille. Link to "www.google.co.uk" |
